Challenge: Purple Heart Homes relied on various manual processes to help them provide housing for veterans.
Solution: The Home Depot Foundation partnered with TechBridge to increase capacity for veterans-serving organizations through the use of technology. The goal of this project was to develop a database that would help improve case management at North Carolina-based Purple Heart Homes.
Details: TechBridge built a custom solution to meet all of the data needs of Purple Heart Homes. The solution was built on the Salesforce.com platform, for which 10 licenses were donated to PHH, ensuring the solution remains affordable.
Impact: The new database allows PHH to track veterans from the moment they walk in the door requesting assistance to the time they are welcomed into their new homes. Purple Heart Homes can now easily track housing inventory across the country so that they can match veterans with appropriate homes. As a result of this project, Purple Heart Homes has realized efficiencies that will allow them to serve more veterans and their families in the coming years.
