Atlanta, GA – January 26, 2015 – As of January 1, 2015, TechBridge® has acquired the hunger program of Aidmatrix, a nonprofit that has been accelerating food banking operations with their supply chain technology and community partnerships since 2000. This venture grows TechBridge’s prowess for resolving operational issues that nonprofits face. Aidmatrix’s technology has been instrumental in pioneering the change of how supplies are delivered for everything from disaster relief to day-to-day needs of organizations.
Integrating our hunger program into the TechBridge team will continue to propel our cloud-based, supply chain software that serves over 50 food banks worldwide. Within TechBridge, this program will be perfectly poised to take advantage of the oncoming waves of technology innovation and better combat the operational issues of nonprofits. — Mark Theilken, CEO of Aidmatrix
Their hunger program is a cloud-based, supply chain management (SCM) software that has been especially key in the operations of hunger relief worldwide; their biggest client being Feeding America, which is a nationwide network of 200 food banks. With the help of Aidmatrix’s SCM software technology, the Feeding America Network was able to help provide 3.3 billion meals directly to individuals and families throughout the United States and in Puerto Rico in 2014.
We view this acquisition as a great fit for TechBridge and it ensures that these systems, which are so important to our network, have support and a strategic direction. And we are glad that folks from Aidmatrix, who have been very supportive and involved with our business, will continue to be part of our mission to solve the problem of hunger in America. — Connie Ahalt, IT Deployment Director of Feeding America
TechBridge will now be able to dive deeper within the operational challenges that hinder nonprofits, especially those combatting hunger. This investment will also help strengthen the technology solutions that TechBridge currently provides its clients.
Founded in 2000, TechBridge is a nonprofit that provides other nonprofits with the tools, resources and relationships they need to apply business strategies and technology to further their missions. This is made possible by support from the TechBridge network of corporations, individuals and foundations. The TechBridge Adopt-a-Nonprofit™ program and the Technology Innovation Award, given by Accenture, provide nonprofits with funding vehicles for their technology needs while TechBridge’s fundraising efforts, including the Digital Event Series, unite the technology community to celebrate the impact technology can have in strengthening our community.
