Atlanta, GA – May 21, 2014: TechBridge, a nonprofit that drives community impact by bringing affordable business and technology expertise to other nonprofits, is pleased to announce the appointment of Anil T. Cheriyan, Corporate Executive Vice President, SunTrust Banks, to its Board of Directors.
As the Chief Information Officer for SunTrust Banks, Anil Cheriyan has responsibility for SunTrust’s Enterprise Information Services division’s overall technology, operations and information-related support. Prior to joining SunTrust in 2012, Anil served financial services industry clients in systems transformation, technology and process re-engineering initiatives for IBM Global Services for 10 years. Before joining IBM, he was a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting in systems, customer information, data warehousing and e-business engagement leadership roles.

In addition to Anil’s personal involvement, SunTrust volunteers and financial support are helping TechBridge extend its nonprofit technology expertise to other nonprofits to improve operational efficiencies. Through the TechBridge Nonprofit Exchange, SunTrust has “adopted” Every Woman Works and is providing funding for a much needed technology project. Every Woman Works is a nonprofit that helps women who are dealing with life challenges move from dependency to self-sufficiency.
