The Girl Scouts of Nassau County (GSNC), located east of New York City, has been building girls of courage, confidence, and character since 1917. When the organization faced growing pains and its old mail server could no longer meet its email storage needs, GSNC did some research and learned about the cloud-based email and document management features of Microsoft Office 365.
GSNC considered attempting the migration to the cloud themselves but quickly realized they needed an experienced partner. GSNC contacted TechBridge® through TechSoup, the go-to website connecting nonprofits to affordable tech products and services. TechBridge successfully managed GSNC’s entire migration remotely.
One key to GSNC’s successful cloud migration was preparedness. TechBridge provided tutorials and encouraged the GSNC staff to get comfortable with Office 365. Once the migration was complete, the staff was ready to work – in and out of the office. More staff now have flexible hours and can work from home saving commute time and increasing their productivity. The migration also saved GSNC money – over $1,040 per month on 130 mailboxes – recouping the cost of their email migration in just 5 months.
TechBridge engineers know what they are doing. They are very methodical and employ a phase-structured approach to project management, which means all the i’s were dotted and all the t’s were crossed before the actual email migration. Migrating to the cloud thus went very smoothly. It really was a turnkey solution.
