Vonage Adopts Atlanta Children’s Shelter with an All Hands on Deck Approach

Vonage and Atlanta Children's Shelter at TechBridge's Adopt-a-Nonprofit Kick Off MeetingMany hands make light work.

Vonage took this proverb to heart when they rallied the entire company to join in for some fun- and fund-raising to support their adoption of the Atlanta Children’s Shelter (ACS) through TechBridge’s Adopt-a-Nonprofit program.

The Atlanta Children’s Shelter assists homeless families with young children who are striving to become self-sufficient. The ACS currently gathers large volumes of data to track the progress of the families they serve manually. Vonage’s adoption of the shelter is to support the consolidation of their data into a flexible, cloud database built on the Salesforce platform.

Vonage came up with a uniquely creative campaign to get everyone in the company involved in making the adoption happen for ACS. They organized a week-long, company-wide fundraiser including tons of food, engaging games like a duck pond raffle, exciting festivities including an office bake sale, and some super team building competitions for their employees and partners. Read their guest post on TechBridge’s blog here, detailing their inventive fundraiser.

“We are privileged to work with TechBridge to adopt the Atlanta Children’s Shelter,” said Teri McEvily, Vonage Business General Manager, Atlanta. “All of our Atlanta employees rallied together to raise funds for this great organization. We are excited to see how our adoption will help make the ACS’ job easier, so they can help even more people in our community.”

We are excited to see how our adoption will help make the Atlanta Children’s Shelter’s job easier, so they can help even more people in our community.

Thanks to Vonage’s unique approach the ACS will soon be able to easily track the progress of program goals and simplify a cumbersome and time-consuming reporting process. The lessening of their manual processes will translate into more time dedicated to serving more homeless families with children than ever before.
