ITAD Technologies Partners with TechBridge to Support Their Workforce Development Pillar

October 15, 2022

[Atlanta, ] — ITAD Technologies, an Atlanta-based organization providing reverse logistics for technology assets, has donated a generous quantity of laptops to TechBridge.

TechBridge is a nonprofit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of generational poverty by transforming nonprofits through the innovative use of technology and collective action. TechBridge applies its products, collaborative community programs, and technical services in four specific areas: hunger relief, homeless support, social justice, and workforce development. TechBridge plans to equip students in their Technology Career Program (TCP) with these laptops for virtual learning and at-home study.

TCP is a free, part-time, 16-week course providing unemployed and underemployed adults with marketable in-demand skills including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and CompTIA A+. TCP graduates interview with partner employers for entry-level technology roles and receive six months of career coaching and mentorship. Graduates see an average 91% wage increase from their previous employment.

[ITAD’s] partnership is timely and the donation will have a direct impact on the Atlanta community. We are very grateful.

— Julie Neuner, VP of Consulting and Customer Success, TechBridge

This generous donation from ITAD Technologies directly supports one of the four TechBridge pillars, workforce development. The provision of these laptops will enable additional TCP students to have access to virtual learning and the ability to prepare for a career in technology. Julie Neuner, VP of Consulting and Customer Success shares, The support of ITAD Technologies will allow us to increase the number of TCP students we can serve, as we have shifted from in-person learning to a fully virtual learning environment due to COVID restrictions. Their partnership is timely and the donation will have a direct impact on the Atlanta community. We are very grateful.

ITAD Technologies provides a variety of services for enterprise clients including IT asset disposition, data sanitization, refurbished hardware solutions, and third-party maintenance/extended warranty options. ITAD Tech’s customers often discover that they receive a much better ROI on retired assets versus a traditional recycler.

Andrew Armour and Benjamin Howell recently acquired ITAD Tech from the founding owners. They share a passion for leveraging their talents to impact the greater Atlanta community. Howell states From a young age, I was taught to give back to those who may need a little help. This is just the beginning of creating a culture of generosity within ITAD Tech. Armour adds In a season of virtual learning, I could not think of a better organization to donate mobile technologies to. We believe that TechBridge will optimize this technology to positively influence our community.

This is an excellent example of extending the use of technology and sharing valuable resources with those who need them.
