TechBridge, a nonprofit that drives community impact by bringing affordable business and technology expertise to other nonprofits, announces the completed construction of the 12th TechBridge Technology Community Habitat for Humanity House. In partnership with Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, dedication ceremonies for the new home took place on June 3, 2016. Continuing a growing legacy of proactive and tangible impact in the metro Atlanta community, 16 corporate sponsors joined together and donated more than $80,000 and provided volunteers for the home build near the East Point neighborhood in southwest Atlanta:

  • 3Ci
  • Brand Energy and Infrastructure Services
  • The Coca-Cola Company
  • CTS, Inc.
  • Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta
  • GE Power & Water
  • InterContinental Hotels Group
  • Landis+Gyr
  • Look Listen
  • MDI Group
  • Principle Solutions Group
  • Pyramid Consulting
  • SEI – Atlanta, LLC
  • Southern Company
  • Synergis
  • Xpanxion

In addition to the home’s keys being presented to its new owner at the dedication ceremony, the homeowners were also presented with:

  • A new laptop computer and monitor donated by GE Energy
  • Software donated by Microsoft
  • A printer, office supplies, and a gift certificate for a computer desk and chair given by the house sponsors.
  • One of the new sponsors on the build this year, Look Listen, contributed a top-of-the-line Char-Broil grill to the homeowner.
  • And to help the project’s completion:

The Coca-Cola Company again provided beverages throughout the project.
MDI Group donated funds to secure a Pod on the home build site to store supplies.
TechBridge applauds all of the sponsors and their technology professionals for their dedication and commitment to the community, noting that five of the 2016 corporate sponsors have participated in all 12 TechBridge Community Habitat House projects to date: Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, GE, Southern Company, Synergis, and The Coca-Cola Company.

We are moved by the support that’s powered the completion of 12 TechBridge Technology Community Habitat Houses for 12 hardworking families in metro Atlanta. This continuous generosity and encouragement from the technology leaders of our city for the improvement of our community is beyond inspiring. —James Franklin, CEO, TechBridge
