Château Élan Golf Club was alive with energy on as we hosted our 18th Annual Tee IT Up golf tournament. With more than 100 golfers and 26 sponsors, the event showcased the power of community, technology, and collaboration in the fight against generational poverty.

This year’s event welcomed co-chairs Sarah Butterfass (former chief product officer at FanDuel) and Dane Bamburry (senior director of enterprise architecture at Cox Enterprises, Inc.). In partnership with the Atlanta chapter of the Society for Information Management (SIM Atlanta) and GeorgiaCIO, the event celebrated the intersection of teamwork, technology, and giving back. It was a great day to golf for a good cause.

Highlights

The event wasn’t just about the game — it was about camaraderie, networking, and making a lasting impact. The tournament featured exciting competitions, such as:

  • Longest Drive challenges
  • Closest-to-the-Pin contests
  • Beat-the-Pro competitions
  • Fast Flyer awards

Participants shared not only their skills on the course but also their commitment to making a difference.

Elizabeth Erckmann Hoemeke Bestowed 2024 Ed Steinike CIO Award

We are honored to announce Elizabeth Erckmann Hoemeke as the recipient of the Ed Steinike CIO Award, a prestigious recognition given to technology leaders who exemplify exceptional leadership, mentorship, and commitment to philanthropy.

Elizabeth Hoemeke receives the Ed Steinike CIO Award from Clint Bailey. Vish Narendra is also on the stairs, which serve as a makeshift podium.

Hoemeke brings more than 20 years of experience in product development and IT. She currently serves as the chief information officer at One Inc., where she leads the company’s global IT strategy with a focus on innovation, transformation, and security. Her leadership spans cloud services, infrastructure, and product development, ensuring cutting-edge solutions for the organization.

Before joining One Inc., Hoemeke was senior vice president at U.S. Bank, where she managed a global team of more than 300 associates. Hoemeke’s background includes a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She remains deeply committed to her community through her involvement in Leadership Atlanta and various nonprofits.

The Ed Steinike CIO Award, first awarded in , honors chief technology and information officers who demonstrate not only technical excellence but also a passion for mentorship and a dedication to giving back. Hoemeke’s career excels in these qualities, making her a fitting recipient of this year’s award.
