TechBridge Supporters Complete 12th Habitat for Humanity House Build

[Atlanta, ] — TechBridge, a nonprofit driving community impact by bringing affordable business and technology expertise to other nonprofits, announces the completed construction of the 12th TechBridge Technology Community Habitat for Humanity House. In partnership with Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, dedication ceremonies for the new home took place on . Continuing a growing legacy of proactive and tangible impact in the metro-Atlanta community, 16 corporate sponsors joined and donated more than $80,000, also providing volunteers for the home’s construction near the East Point neighborhood in southwest Atlanta.

At the dedication ceremony, the new homeowners were presented with the keys to the house, as well as:

  • A new laptop computer and monitor donated by GE Energy
  • Software donated by Microsoft
  • A printer, office supplies, and a gift certificate for a computer desk and chair given by the house sponsors
  • A top-of-the-line Char-Broil grill presented by Look Listen

The Coca-Cola Company again provided beverages throughout the project. MDI Group donated funds to secure a PODS storage unit on the home construction site to store supplies. TechBridge applauds all of the sponsors and their technology professionals for their dedication and commitment to the community, noting that five of the corporate sponsors have participated in all 12 TechBridge Community Habitat House projects to date: Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, GE, Southern Company, Synergis, and The Coca-Cola Company.

The annual TechBridge Technology Community Habitat House project provides a powerful opportunity for IT professionals to network and for sponsoring companies to promote team-building, all while doing tremendous good for the community. Nonprofit Atlanta Habitat for Humanity (one of the largest and most active among the 1,500 U.S. affiliates of Habitat for Humanity International) is dedicated to enabling affordable home ownership for working families and single residents in Atlanta.
