Georgia

Georgia was founded by Oglethorpe nearly 300 years ago as a “refuge for the poor and deserving.” Maybe that’s why compassion comes naturally to Georgians. Since our founding in Atlanta, TechBridge has helped hundreds of nonprofits on the frontlines of alleviating poverty and hunger. Still, nearly 18 percent of Georgians suffer from food insecurity and more than a quarter of Georgia’s kids live in poverty. There’s much more work to be done, and we look forward to assisting as many nonprofits as we can access the technology they need to serve more people and do more good.

Volunteer Opportunities

Fundraising Events

TechBridge engages individuals with sales and marketing experience to assest in promoting and executing its annual fundraising events in Atlanta, the Digital Event Series and the Tee It Up for TechBridge Golf Tournament. Specific areas for involvement include raffle, silent auction and sponsorship committees in addition to logistics support on the day of each event.

Habitat for Humanity

Over the past 11 years, 33 organizations have contributed over $875,000 to the TechBridge Technology Community Habitat for Humanity Build in partnership with Atlanta Habitat for Humanity. Each year, corporate sponsors join together to build a new home in partnership with a qualified, working Atlanta family. Corporate sponsors not only provide funding to build the TechBridge Technology Community Habitat House, but also provide the more than 275 volunteers needed to complete the project. The 2017 first nail ceremony and kick-off will be in April.
